But Somehow It Turned Out Not To Be.
No fun:
- sleeping on the Pullout From Heck in a cabin in Nowhere, North Carolina that DIDN'T EVEN HAVE INTERNET ACCESS,
- chasing after Brooke for what felt like days (she had SO MUCH ENERGY, whereas I did not),
- getting hooked with a fish-hook,
- sustaining an uncomfortable sunburn and phototoxic reaction (thanks Accutane) on the first day at the beach,
- hurting my foot somehow so that it swells up anytime I want to walk farther than out to the car,
- dropping my fishing reel in the water so my dad had to go retrieve it,
- rubbing up against that crazy poison ivy so that my right arm was roughly the size and shape of a small house.
However, I rather enjoyed:
- catching fish for Brooke,
- catching a fish that looked like this,
- spending much of the vacation parked in front of the TV highly medicated (Law & Order rocks my world),
- playing game after game of Scrabble (and even beating my grandparents twice),
- eating so much (Amici's lobster pasta YUMMMMMM),
- meeting my cousin's new baby Andrew (he is the sweetest little guy ever and he is crazy about me) and his dad Troy.
Now that I'm back and flipped on my Amazon vacation settings, I've sold three things. Yay! Now I think Rosco and I will go watch whatever got Tivo'd while we were away.
