So yesterday I had my first yoga class at Rhodes, and I am sore. Of course, in my crazy head, being sore means that I am probably less fit than everyone in the class and therefore I need to work that much harder to catch up with everyone... WHICH IS REALLY CRAZY, especially considering it's YOGA, which is all about the individual and being kind to yourself. So what if I can't do a push-up? So what if I get sweaty (and therefore slip and slide around on my hands) doing the 10-minute workout which includes nothing more strenuous than basic stretches and some arm exercises? So what if I have no arm strength?
I'll tell you what I do have.
I have mad flexibility in my legs, which are very long.
I have the speed now to run a mile 3 minutes faster than I could 8 weeks ago.
I have a really awesome chair: it's even better in real life.
I have a creative side that allowed me to create this invisible cup for my writing utensils.
I have dedication.
I have a 50% on a Management test that was curved up to a B+.
I have until Tuesday to write my Spanish essay.
It's only the first day. Just breathe.

I would love to see you post a picture of your yoga instructor. I am imagining a tall skinny guy with a pony tail in a leotard.

Get it, GURRRL! I miss you bunches. And I'm imagining the same thing your mom is as far as the instructor.
