NOOOOOOOOOO (GROAN).

There's a bird singing outside my window. It's 63 degrees out there. I wish I could go on a picnic. I hate homework. A LOT.

Thoughts.

Why is there no such thing as drunken yoga? When I have been drinking, I am much more aware of what my body is doing. Unfortunately, I am not as good at controlling it, but if the point of yoga is to be aware of one's body.. alcohol would seem to help me.

Going out tonight. Plans undetermined.

Next week: crazy. Three tests = sad times, no posting.

Weekend at Home.

I went home this weekend. I really like going home sometimes. I can be sure that everyone there adores me, except Rosco. That dog loves to ignore me, unless I am throwing the ball for him, which is about .01% of the time. Anyway, it was kind of tough going to get home, because it was snowing hard and the roads were wet for the first two hours leaving Memphis. It was weird seeing the cotton fields covered in snow. I don't think Southerners handle bad weather very well: I saw quite a few vehicles with TN or AL or AR plates going probably 75 mph on the interstate: I, on the other hand, was poking along in the right lane around 55 mph, because of my desire not to crash into things. The visibility was very bad. Once I got past Cape Girardeau, though, everything was dry and mild and generally pleasant driving weather.

Yesterday I did the Billy's Bootcamp ab workout with my brother, and was expecting him to wimp out early and often but he didn't. He's been doing ab workouts daily since I left, and he is really getting very strong and in good shape. His biceps are gigantor.

Later in the evening, my mom and Ty and I saw Brokeback Mountain, which was very beautiful but very sad. I recommend it. Even if you think you'll be uncomfortable (which you probably will be, and not just during the love scenes, but there are also hate scenes which made me want to curl up under my seat), go. It's worth it.

P.S. If you are in Springfield and see my friend Kristen, give her a hug of encouragement and love.

*Sad Face*

I've been so busy lately. I have three tests next week (Cost Accounting, Macroeconomics, and Human Resource Mgmt -- in that order: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). Sigh. My derm appt is on that Tuesday morning, which is good because I've run out of Accutane. Fascinating.

Anyway, so about a week and a half ago I received an email that was looking for "any sophomore or junior student to work on the web site and online communications in the Communications department. Student must have editing, formatting and layout skills and excellent attention to detail. Basic knowledge about building web pages is preferable but not required. The associate will work 10-15 hours per week at a pay rate of $10.00 per hour, starting February 20". I had been thinking lately that a little extra money would be good, and I can afford to sacrifice some GPA (since my cumulative is around 3.75 at this point), and it just sounded so much like me, so I went ahead and put in an application. Today was the deadline, so I hope I find out soon whether I got it or not.

The other night (Friday or Saturday), I was walking out of Voorhies to wait for Drew to pick me up and I felt like I was having a runny nose, but when I went to wipe my nose, my hand and face were covered in blood. It was freaky. I haven't had a real bloody nose like that in a while. So I went back inside and held a paper towel to my face for a while and called Drew to let him know I was all right.. but it's hard to talk on the phone if you're trying to remove blood from your face so the conversation went like.. "Hi, it's me.. I'm having a nose-bleed.." "Are you okay? Do you want me to come up?" "I'm in the downstairs bathroom, I--" hang up as I drop the phone onto the floor. I could imagine that he was thinking I had fainted or something, maybe.

Looking forward to watching the Olympics with my family this weekend. I'm going home. However, I think a good part of my weekend will be doing stupid homework or preparing for the tests or doing research for my gigantor HR Mgmt paper.

It snowed in St Louis today. I wish it had snowed here in Memphis so I could have a snow day tomorrow. Last semester we had a hurricane day.

This is so random. Goodnight.

Mom: The L just went by my window--it's like that TCM lead-in.
Me: I don't watch much TCM.
Me: Wait.
Me: Texas Chainsaw Massacre?
Me: Or Turner Classic Movies?
Mom: Which do you think?

It's Kristen's Birthday.

Poor Keeb. She had kind of a bad prelude to her birthday: someone stole her rabbits from their cages outside her house, can you believe that? Who does such a thing? *shakes head* Despite the bad start, it sounds like it got back on track. She opened her present from me: two Napoleon Dynamite shot glasses and something I thought was a regular board game, but turned out to be a drinking game. Oh well, I guess it still fits within the genre of 21st Birthday Presents.

I have a couple of things to talk about on here, but for whatever reason (my guess would be the 7 hours of homework I did and the hardcore yoga class), I'm dropping off to sleep, so I'm going to hit the sack. If I get a spare half-hour I'll type up something.
