HR Progress.

I started my rough draft on the HR paper today at noon, right after my classes. I'm about halfway through, so I think it'll actually get done tonight. Yay! I will be so unbelievably happy to move onto something else. Anything else. Everything else (there is a lot of it). Fact is, I've written about 4.5 pages in 5 hours, and if I get the rest done in 6, I'll be able to do a once-over rewrite and turn it in before midnight.

It should be noted that I am starting to doubt my ability to just go ahead and write a B or C paper. I'm trying way too hard on this paper, for it to be just a B or C.

Toodle-oo.

I've been feeling pretty confused and lost lately, in a lot of ways. Even though I know that two weeks from today, I'll be at home, those two weeks feel like several months. I feel like that about a lot of things. Even though I know ____ (realistic), I feel ____ (something hard and heavy). I feel like I'm being pulled in too many directions, but there's really only one direction. Down, nose to the grind-stone.

I wonder if I am getting enough sleep (even though I slept 11 hours last night) or if I'm lacking some necessary brain chemical, because I'm having some troubles with remembering. I reminded myself yesterday morning to go to that Hispanic Studies honor society intitiation at 3:00, but it was 4:30 by the time I realized what I was supposed to be doing, and I couldn't remember what I had been doing at 2:30. So I missed it. It was highly distressing when I realized that, but now I doubt it matters.

I'm going to start writing my HR paper either tonight or tomorrow, and I'm determined that it will stink to high heaven, but that is okay.

Around 1:00, the electricity went out all over campus and even beyond, in the whole block. I had been finishing up the Law and Order episode I began last night, and clicked the "off" button, and suddenly everything in the building went off. Haha. So without the microwave or the TV working, I had no choice but to get up and do some homework. That was 4.5 hours ago, and I still have about 6 hours to work tonight.

Only two more weeks. Please send encouraging thoughts.

Saturday.

This afternoon, we went to the baseball game in the new stadium, and the Cardinals won, 9-3. It started to rain in the 8th inning, and that wasn't very pleasant, but it was a fun experience overall. I was afraid I was going to get a sunburn because it was so sunny (before it rained, obviously), so I wore sunblock, but I might've picked up some color, yay.

Well, this evening started out as kind of a disappointment. Rob and I had had plans to hang out this evening, but he ended up not being able to go. I text messaged Joe, but didn't get any answer back, even though he called Rob to talk about going to a movie -- or something. So I just kind of sat around talking to Kelly until I decided to go to Walmart with Ty to get a new case for my CDs. Ty brought the camera, and this is what we ended up with:

Oh, and as I was waiting for Ty to use the restroom, Joe walked into Walmart. It was pretty strange/confusing, but I was happy to see him. After that, Ty and I went to S&Js for ice cream and we talked, and it took me probably 20 minutes to tell a story about throwing up at band practice. It totally wasn't worth the 20 minutes, but Ty listened dutifully. I like that kid.

Yes, Another Post About School.

Sometimes I get to do something other than homework, and it's a real treat, but it hasn't happened for a while (except for seeing the Bravery at Rites of Spring -- I actually went this time, and hanging out in Laura's room afterwards until 3:30 am). See, last week, I had an Spanish exam on Monday (got a 97) and a vocab quiz on Wednesday (10/10), and a Finance exam on Thursday (I'll probably find out tomorrow how that went). And I had a ton of work to do, on top of that.

So this weekend (Friday 3:00-8:00, Saturday 12:30-10:15, Sunday: 1:00-12:00), I tried to get done a lot of the things that would be due this week (my Accounting budget project, my Econ article analysis, study for Accounting exam), so that I could spend my evening mostly working on my HR paper, which was officially due on Friday, but she gave me a week's extension. So it'd be unofficially due this Friday, but since Easter vacation starts Wednesday afternoon.. I don't know when she wants it. So my plan is to work on it tonight, and tomorrow (when I'm not taking the Accounting exam), and Wednesday, if necessary. But I'm definitely going home on Thursday morning, if not sooner.

Anyway, back to work. List of stories: description of the Bravery, fun at Laura's, multiple birthday parties, and visiting the family.

P.S. Only missed 6.5 on that HR exam. She wrote, "Get a life" at the top.
