Losses.

This time last year, I was expounding on the virtues of my astronomy professor, Jay White. He really inspired me to be interested in astronomy. A few minutes ago, I read the headline that Pluto was disqualified as a planet, and I thought to mention it to Drew, who is taking astronomy this semester. He said his professor mentioned yesterday that they were going vote on it today. He also said that his professor is a Dr. Viano, that Prof. White left.

So the solar system lost a planet, and Rhodes lost a star.

Mom:

I have an article in Science News from last week which predicts that they would expand the number of planets to 12. Someone's 'reliable source' must be pretty embarassed.

Too bad about Prof. White. He sounded very inspirational. Maybe you could Google him-- I bet he ended up someplace with a stronger astronomy program. Rhodes' loss.
