June 11 01 [6:26pm] Before I go to the YMCA and swim, I leave you with a nice little conversation that occurred between Kris and I yesterday. Oh, joy!
Becky: Duh, I knew you didn't get popcorn. [2:17pm] 45 minutes of sun is a good place to start. Yes. Not too much and not too little. Plus, I'm leaving for vacation on Friday so I'll get plenty of sun there. No more white me anymore! I mean, I'll still be Caucasian but I won't be a pale snail. I'll be a tan.. (wo)man. Yeah! I'm a rhyming fool. [1:36pm] Putting the "kickin tunes" on the mp3 player takes a while. Here's the "kickin tunes" list:
[1:29pm] Okay. I'm in my bathing suit. It's like 88 degrees and I have a funky shorts line on my tan from going out in shorts so much on Spring Trip. I'm gonna put some "kickin tunes" on my mp3 player and go lay out in da sun! and for those of you who are still in school.. Haahahahahhaha! This is my third week of being out and we had like two weeks of snow, back in old December!
June 9 01 [8:10pm] Just got off the phone with Kris who told me that it's not that Carrie P(!!!!). It's Carrie-from-Festus, who I don't have to know or see her and Will holding hands in the hall, if such a thing ever would happen. Yay. I feel 132% better. [7:18pm] It's pretty perfect, though. Carrie is #1 in the class (valedictorian-to-be, I swear it) and Will is like #2 (with Richard..) It's just weird. And strangely perfect. But I've got to remember that it's only as complicated (and hurtful) as I make it. This is gonna be tough.
[7:07pm] Carrie is over at Will's house, getting along great, it sounds like. I called him, see, and asked him if he was leaving tomorrow and he said yes he was. And I asked what time and he said 5 am. And I told him about Kris going to the movies with old Ryan H (remember, "love interest" boy?) and she needed a chaperone and asked me. So I didn't really wanna be the "third wheel" so I called up Will to ask if he could provide a ride if I bought the tix. [2:35pm] My brother's confession of coolness: "I'm hip, I can do this *gives the brick-wall movement*, I like Menudo." My brother rocks. He could beat up your brother. [12:34pm] I totally forgot.
Me: Yeah right, Ty, you wish. [12:21pm] Hair convo.
Me: I think I brushed my hair this morning.
June 8 01 [9:25pm] My mom and I went to see Shrek. I had already seen it but she wanted me to get out so we went out. Yes, I went to a movie with my mom. If you wanna say anything about that, I'll just hafta whup out tha hevvvvy kung-fu action upon ye. Annnnyway. We needed $$$, so we stopped at the ATM. Graffiti is fun, people. Written on the ATM was, "Amanda is a dike." Amanda is "an embankment of earth and rock built to prevent floods"?
June 7 01 [5:12pm] Kris and I were discussing how I am reading this book, Personality Unlimited, which is all about manners and how to take care of yourself and stuff. I got it for 25¢ at the library in really good condition (for having been printed in the 40s.) Anyway, I was telling her about the manners sections. About how the man should always be presented to the woman. "Kristen, this is Abraham Lincoln." And then you should say, "A pleasure to meet you." NOT: "Nice to meet ya" or "Glad to know ya." And Kris and I made some other suggestions of what you're not supposed to say.
Me: "Kristen, this is Count Dracula."
Me: "Kristen, this is Lord George Byron." [5:06pm] "I'm a real boy!" Kris says. [4:55pm] Kris and I are so stupid on the phone. She was telling me about the day after band camp (very tiring) when she went to go see Urban Legend and she fell asleep in the movie theater. Then at a loud noise, she woke up and screamed. It wasn't a scary part. And I told her that somebody probably thought she was cool and screamed along too, just to fit in. And she said that there was prolly a guy in the audience going, "That girl is cool. Next scary part that comes up, I'm peeing my pants. *pause* Ooh. Warm." [4:44pm] I'm sorry that my mp3 link for Moulin Rouge - Elephant Love Song Medley was broken before. For some reason, you downloaded Fatboy Slim - Because We Can which is in Moulin Rouge, but not the same song. *tard*

June 5 01 [5:37pm] You will all be very happy to know that I might be getting a life, even if it's just for a little while, this summer. I guess we can call it a life. A babysitting job might constitute as better than sitting around and eating all day. I bet I'll even get paid! (It's raining like the dickens and we're having a flood-let down by the pond. Cool.) [10:20pm] This is my blue-haired baby, Chuwamba! (Just a joke, save it for later.) Hmm. Weather's okay today. It's like the first day in 100 years that it isn't supposed to rain. Maybe I'll lay out. I doubt it though. It's partly cloudy. [9:31am] There's a barbecue this weekend, hosted by Colorguard at the Annual [Subdivision] Garage Sale. It's on June 9 (Saturday.) I wonder if I should go. I don't think the colorguard girls really like me. Well, there's Andrea (aka Annie P), and she's nice to everyone. Ronnie is in colorguard now, so... no. I don't think I'll go.
June 4 01 [2:42pm] Kris is going with Will and I. Also, some guy named Dan might go. He's a freshman, Will said. I don't know him. Might be interesting to meet someone new. [2:02pm] Today I go to the ballpark with Will and some other people. Also I talked to Kris today and she asked me if I wanted to go to the movies with her and Ryan (her new "love interest" that she won't admit to him being a "love interest" but the fact that other people have to be there as chaperones gives it away.) I'll have yet to find out what movie we'll see, and then I'll ask if I can go. And if I can go, I'll ask Will to come along, so that I don't feel like the proverbial "third wheel." Yes, I'm going to put all the plot cliché characters in quotation marks. Why? Because it's fun. [11:55am] I've never really done a layout like this, all big and taking-up-room and stuff like that. I think I like it though. |
