It feels kind of weird for me to write you a letter thanking you for everything because I write you notes every day and this one is different because I’m supposed to be in “grateful mode.” But you should already know that I adore you and appreciate your talents and think you’re wonderful and a great section leader and all that. So I don’t know what to do. Maybe I can just write this as an all-around-appreciation letter. I think that is allowed.

We’ve been super buds for a long time. Almost 5 years, no? I think that’s right. I’ve seen you go through puberty, braces, girlfriends, guyfriends (heh), etc. We’ve had so so so so so many jokes and so few tears. A lot of sweat though. And a little bit of puke. Eww. Besides all the bodily functions, we’ve had a good time. And you’ve been half of that. So thanks for that.

And thanks for being a section leader, even though I probably boss you around more than you boss me around. I am older, you know. :)
