Even though you are not my true section leaders, I feel like you girls have really helped me this year. Through this trumpet-guard thing we did during the show, our sections were brought closer together. Before this year, I never felt any connection with the guard girls, and to tell you the truth, thought that you guys were sort of snobby.

Was I ever wrong!

         You are some of the most wonderful people in the world, always smiling with a positive word on the tip of your tongue. Supportive, too, when we dumb trumpet players couldn’t toss for anything. Thanks for your patience and kindness and everything. You made it fun for me.

P.S. Besides thanking you, I’d like to tell you how proud I am of you guys! Every guard girl – including the non-seniors and even the rookies – earned that Best Auxiliary, but you five led the guard to excellence. If I make winterguard, I’ll be extremely proud to be a part of something that you all are a part of.
