[3:34pm] I'm really super sad because I don't get to attend my own Seniors' Last First Thursday Night Practice. BTW, no more writing until like Monday morning or afternoon. Or Tuesday, if I'm lazy.

[5:28pm] I stole them today too, hahahaha. Here's what happened yesterday though. I put them on and Kelly said "Wow you remind me of that girl in She's All That. It's like, you have them on and you're fabulous but you have cool glasses, and you take them off and then you're BAM GORGEOUS." And I was like "Huh?" and then later Ricky approached me and told me that it was a good look for me (I'm euphamicising, since his real words were rather a little more than that.) And Shawn too. And a couple others. So either I was hot or I was so pathetic-looking that they felt the need to boost my self confidence.

[8:39pm] I stole Kelly's glasses today. Complete story tomorrow.

[10:01am] Yes indeed. I went to the band car wash yesterday, not because I had any pledges or anything. I just went because I'm in the band and I needed my car washed. So there was a total of 125 cars washed in about 5 hours (25 cars an hour.) And $354.75 in donations (I donated $0.71 because I already have paid quite a bit on band funds.) And then at about 6:15, I went to Rob's house for First Light practice slash trumpet party. Actually, they're not called First Light anymore, because some other band in California has that name. Sigh. The Band Formerly Known As First Light. TBFKAFL rocked. I actually made a page of pictures, but then accidentally deleted it. But that will have to wait.

[7:55pm] I have the best best friend in the world. Yeah, that's all I have to say.
[6:35am] Happy 14 years and 5 months birthday to my brother, and I'm having clothes problems. Everything has shrunk since I bought it. Hrmph. Yes, the clothes have shrunk, I have not grown. (MEANIES!) So I'm just gonna wear my band shirt today. :) Hurh hurh.

[8:02pm] Massive amounts of homework, but night practice was cancelled for the night due to the heavy construction equipment (bulldozers, steamrollers and whatnot) all situated on our track and field at the school, and the other field doesn't have lights and since it gets dark around 7:40, we'd lose half our practice time. So there was drumline and guard, and I had to time finish my homework. Four problems of Calculus took me an hour and a whole sheet of paper. Then I had to write a page-long paper thingy for Adv Biology for why Biology is important in every day life. It's mostly crappy, but I can't muster a great paper on such a weak topic. Sorry. Hmm.. NO practice tomorrow, but there's a trumpet practice/party at My Dear Bertie's house on Saturday. And before it actually starts, First Light will be playing, so of course, as Honorary Roupie of the group, I have to be there. Whee!!

[7:10pm] Today is Ronnie's birthday. I made her a sign and she thanked me profusely with a hug and a "Sorry, my shirt is wet." More inane home-keys practice in Comp Ops. I can type quickly (73 wpm) using the eight fingers I use. I don't always have to use my index finger for just Y, H, J, and N. Although we've only learned J out of those. (Going slowly--no, quickly--insane.) The worst part of having that class is that I have it the hour before Calculus. It doesn't make any sense. It's like doing the cooldown section of a workout and then doing 50 minutes of hard-core calisthenics, but this is my BRAIN we're talking about. Gah.

082002
[9:06pm] Lots of homework and nothing really of consequence is happening. I'm scared of Calculus, and my brain is numb from Computer Ops. Yes, I'm being forced to take Computer Ops. Imagine this for 50 minutes: "Eff, eff space, eff, eff eff space, jay, jay space, jay jay space, eff jay space, dee, dee, dee dee space, jay dee eff space, eff jay space. Ess ell ay jay eff dee kay ell sem." FYI: Sem=semicolon. And there's much more where that comes from. Excuse me but I need a tissue. My brain has melted and is running out my ears. I gotta get outta that class. Yes indeed.

[6:28am] Okay, here I am, ready for my first day of senior year. I have 20 minutes left before I have to leave. Ah, yes, now the nervousness comes. The what-ifs. But I think I'll do fine. I'll wearing my Express jeans (the ones where Rosco has chewed slightly on the leather label on the back) and my Colorguard Girl t-shirt (even though I'm not in colorguard.) I just want to be relaxed and find my way around. I don't want to have to fiddle with frilly skirts or tops that won't stay in place-- I have enough to worry about as it is. So, there's my wardrobe stuff. (But DARN this rule about no bare midriffs. Sigh. I will regret saying this, but I can't wait til winter, because then I don't have this bare midriff problem.)

081702
[8:33am] I start school on Monday. Guess I better get crackin' at that school supply buying thing, huh? I don't know, I guess I should be excited about starting my senior year, and being able to drive myself to school.. But that just brings a crapload of responsibility. Responsibility that I am good and ready for (seeing how my peers have been driving to school since sophomore year), but it's responsibility nonetheless. I dreamed last night that I was going through a drawer and I found all these checks made out to me, like $80 here and $18 there. I wonder what the significance of 8 is. But it was great. Gr8!

[8:55pm] Some people are so stupid. Pet Psychic, for example. "She likes ice? Of course she likes ice. It was her.. uh.. uh.. uh.. liquid salvation!" Ice=liquid???
[5:39pm] Mm. Pizza.

Becky: I miss band camp.
Kelly: Me too, more than I could ever tell you in words.
Becky: Could you tell me in hand gestures?
Kelly: Probably not, but I know I could in interpretive dance...

[3:54pm] Nothing like being so sick at band practice that you can't even stand up. You can't even do arm circles, sitting down. Nothing like having to call your dad to come pick you up because you're so sick you can't even drive yourself home (like 1.5 miles!) There's nothing like that to improve your day, is there?

081502
[9:18pm] Ryan P, I love you to death?? Maybe? Unless this is an insult:

"It's cuz you're weird in your own way, and I find it fascinating. That has to sound like I'm your stalker or sumthin, but I don't care. I literally can't get over how weird you truly are; I LOVE IT!"
[6:39pm] An awful thing, again. Kris and I went to see Signs at 5:20 like it said on the website that has the movie times up.. Unfortunately, there was no 5:20 show!! This happened the last time my dad and brother and I tried to see Signs!! Ahh!! Must be aliens. Oh well. Some other time (perhaps Saturday with Rob and Chris???)

081402
[10:11pm] Happy go-to-the-doctor day! Happy (okay, just pretend all this next part is hypenated, cuz that gets old quick) go to the doctor and have her tell you to soak your toe in clorox water, take Accutane and antibiotics Day. Happy go to the doctor and have her tell your brother that he has reversed dermagraphismitis or something fun (which means you can write stuff on his arm and it says there a long time, like I wrote hi and it stayed for like 5 minutes!) day. Happy day where you drop your brother off at a friend's house to go to a concert and he greets those friends by saying "hey G's" day!
[7:27pm] Happy 17 years and 5 months birthday to me! Unhappy run-over-your-toe-with-a-door-so-that-it-bleeds-everywhere day! :(

081302
[5:02pm] At lunch, me and my brother: "I LIKE CHEESE! CAN I HAVE SOME CHEESE? CHEESE, PLEASE!" And the guy sitting across from us: *shakes head (with shame for us), but grins*
[1:38pm] At band camp, I did entirely too much getting my toes up, so now they're mad at me.. and one in particular (right big toe) is going on strike, and showing me just how badly a toe can behave. Sigh. Toe drama is too much.

081202
[12:59pm] How horribly sad, school starts a week from today. That means that I'll have to start watching what I wear -- no bare midriffs or bra straps showing!! (NO!!!!!) This sucks indeed. Hmm, 8-11 practice today, really lasted until about 11:15, then I had to wait in the band room FOREVER for everyone to get their stuff together.. And now I have to return those DVDs (Kung Pow and Amelie, *sigh, love*) to Blockbuster.

081102
[8:09am] Band camp pics are up. The talent show pics lie within. Enjoy. Also, a cinematic note: I saw Goldmember yesterday with Kris and, yeah.. Funny, but perhaps a few too many gag jokes. (The retching choking kind of gag.) And then I saw Kung Pow, because my brother rented it last night.. and that was just plain old hilarious. I truly truly truly TRULLLLY recommend watching it.

[9:41pm] Ryan P, I love you to death!!!!

"You're yourself and you're great at being it; I love you for who you are, and don't change for anything or anyone."
[4:00pm] Hey. Yes. I'm WAYYYY TIRED. There will be pictures. Good ones. Patience is a virtue, always remember that. *What would you think of me now? So lucky, so strong, so proud? I never said thank you for that; now I'll never have a chance.* (Yeah, Abby!! Keep singing!!) (Oh yes, Andrea, just so you know, this update is purely to keep you from getting bored. *wink*)

080402
[10:46am] I'm taking the awesome camera to camp, so when I get back (on the 9th, in the afternoon, when I'll be WAYYYY TIRED), there will be pictures. Also, there will be a new layout very soon after that. Orange Pride! Woo!
[8:17am] Not really. So we got Maxine a new battery and everything is okey-dokey. I have less than four hours to pack for band camp. Woohoo.

080302
[2:44pm] Cars suck!

080202
[7:33pm] Dangit, it rained, so I didn't end up getting to do any of the other things I wanted to do. So tomorrow will be full of activity.

[2:11pm] Vrybusy. Vry, vrybusy day. Band practice, BB meeting, lunch, return brother to school, drop off Buffa*lo at home, wash car, do dishes, sit for five seconds. (And that's just what I've done so far! I've got a lot to do yet! But hafta first pick up my brother from school. Then more stuff.) Vry, vrybusy.
[7:09am] By the way, band council elections were held yesterday and I'm pretty sure Abby was president, Anne was Vice P, Rob was treasurer, Joey was sergeant-at-arms (yells at people to shut up), Lauren was secretary, Chris C got librarian, uhmmm.. somebody got historian (but I can't remember who at the moment, I can only remember who lost it), and Kelly and I got spirit leaders. Woohoo! Umm.. And then there are all the reps, but who cares about that anyway? (Ronnie and Jon.)
[7:02am] Well, here we are in August again. And you know what August means for us band kids. Yes. Band camp. (No jokes, please.) Everyone else will be leaving for that from school at 2:00 but I'll be at Kaplan until 4:00, and Yahoo Driving Directions says it'll take an hour and a quarter, so I'll get there about 5:15 to 5:30. (I'll have gotten food on the way, so I won't need to eat at camp.) I'll unload and be happy for about 2 minutes and then we'll play for Jeff in the Pavillion at 6:30 and he'll tear us apart. Ah well. 'Tis the life of a band kid.
