[9:08pm] My other name is Buddy Danger. Yes. Almost but not quite completely different from the jeans brand.
[4:41pm] Kelly invited me to go swim in her pool and I really want to, because it is that blazing hot. But you know what I'd rather do? Sit inside in the nice cool air conditioning, eat noodles, listen to Velvet Teen, and do chemistry or the notoriously easy Kaplan Home Study Book Thingy (like, add 1.28 + 5.002. Hmm, that's a thinker!) Another day, another practice. I astound myself with my awesomeness at trumpet, and then I astound myself with my awesomeness at my inability to make sentences after practice because I'm so tired. And then I astound myself with my SUPERPOWERS of doing chemistry even with my lack of smartness. (And one more.) I astound myself with my awesomeness at spinning a rifle and then leaning back, leaning, leaning, LEANING until I am upside down and looking at whoever is behind me. Yeah. Astounding.

[9:16pm] Yes. Another day of practice, and I have Prologue and Ballad memorized. Yeehaw. My name is Batman and Kris is Mister Pants and Rob is Turtle Girl.

[5:27pm] What a fun day it was. Went to McDonalds for lunch, Shawn and Kelly and Lauren were there as well. It was great. *bear claw, bam*

072802
[8:48am] Well, it wasn't that good. In fact, it was appropriate to leave when the first act ended. It was great to just make fun of everything. Especially little Princess Louisa always singing slightly off-key. And Fantastick Mark, "I know it's gonna rain, I can feel it. I know it's gonna rain. What are we gonna do?" And the old ladies behind us in the consession line, "Do you want a hot dog? Who wouldn't want a hot dog? Want to split a hot dog if we can just find one?" (We didn't make fun of the old ladies. We just thought they were cool.) And a great many other things. I made Kelly a really cool CD and tried to draw John Leguizamo on the front, but it turned out miserably deformed. Oh well.

072702
[5:34pm] It is certain! I am going to see the Fantasticks! Ding!
[10:37am] Yesterday evening Kelly invited me to go to the Fantasticks with her at the Muny, and I really want to go, but I gotta see what my dad says. I think my mom is cool with me going, but.. we'll see! (If I go, it means I might finish off my camera that I have been carrying around since the beginning of summer. And that means that I will have to get the pictures developed and put them on here, for your viewing pleasure. Yay for you!) Also: Kaplan course starts tomorrow. Whee!

072602
[8:13pm] The first day of band. This year there won't be as quite a lengthy description as there was last year. I'll put it this way though. We took Buffa*lo, sat outside, marched & sweat like nobody's business (not even yours!!), laughed at Kris's stupidness, went inside, played the music suckily, went to sectionals (wheeeee!!!), rocked the house, came back and played the music in full band again, rocked the house AGAIN, impressed Mr Wisdom, and went home. Shawn wrote "Hi Becky" on my leg and "Vampire" on my arm. For some reason.

Becky: Shawn told me today that he wanted to do spirit buddies like heck this year. So I'm all happy about that.
Kelly: Awesome.
Kelly: Spirit buddies are the man.
Becky: I adore Shawn, even if he does write "vampire" on my shoulder.

072502
[9:21am] I know, I know.. Gotta update daily. But there are so many things to be done: laundry, put laundry away, do chemistry, really get rolling on this Spirit Leader campaign (how?), finish new layout (ORANGE!! TANGERINOSITY!!), put music in my computer for band, memorize tunes, practice trumpet, dishes, eat.. Ahhhhh. Whatever.

072302
[2:45pm] Tonight there is a rookie meeting, and I want to meet the rookies. So I might go. Or I might go over to Kris's house once her mom gets home and we might make kitty ears. Or I might sit at home and mope quietly.
[10:40am] A few weeks ago I put the snowglobe that Kris gave me for Christmas in the back of my car. It was small and cute, and it would never stand up properly, so it just rolled around in the back, which was fine because I never turn fast enough to cause the little globe to hit the speaker and shatter. But it was like 106 degrees outside yesterday and my car was sitting in the sun, and the water/sparkle solution heated up and expanded, and the moment I touched it to pick it up and show Kris that I had put it in the back of my car, it exploded. And cut me a little, on my thumb. It was ouchies. But I got sparkle-water splattered all over the place.

072202
[9:10pm] I went to drumline practice today and hung out with Kris and Jake and Rob.. Jeez. It was the most fun!! I brought my rifle and put Kris's nametag from Target on it. And I shared my Sour Skittles, and everyone loves me.
[11:55am] Am I the only one to notice the resemblance?

[9:38am] Sounds good: trombone feature, a sabre solo, a short Native American raindance, and a romantic kiss. There's my marching band show.

072102
[8:58pm] Now that Joe is going to be a section leader over me and officially outranks me, I am allowed to get crankier and crankier with him. But I have to deal with his power trips.

Joe: Rob and I should make all the rookies call us Sir for the first week..
Becky: That would be awesome! And since I'm old too, can they call me something neat?
Joe: Yes.. they should call you ma'am..
Becky: Or "Your Majesty."
Joe: lol.. That works.
Becky: And what are kings called?
Becky: "Your Royal Highness!"
Joe: I like that one..
Becky: That one can be yours.
Joe: As long as they don't call me Princess..
Becky: Rob can just be Sir. Haha.. Your Majesty, Your Royal Highness, and Sir.
Joe: I want to be known as "Exalted One."
Becky: Then Rob can be "Your Royal Highness."
Becky: Your Majesty, Exalted One, Your Royal Highness. Such a power trip.
Joe: This should go nicely.
[6:38pm] Buffa*lo and I.. like money.

Buffa*lo: Free money...*ponders*
Becky: Mmm.. free money.. *drools*
[1:01pm] Blah. Boring boring. I'm giving up on this job thing. One week from Friday, band practice starts, and two weeks from today we leave for band camp, and four weeks from tomorrow school starts. Basically all this adds up to that, with my five honors classes and marching band and my attempts to increase my SAT scores (with a Kaplan course), I have no time for a job. So this means that I am going to have to do lots of chores and things to earn money. Okay, here's the plan. Next April, as soon as winterguard is over, I go job-hunting. Grab the bull by the horns early, get some job experience before I go to college. Sigh. Dangit.

071902
[6:31pm] Sigh. Six Flags can wear you out, can't it? Yes, indeed. Even if you only go for three or four hours, it's still exhausting to stand in lines baking under the sun. Amazingly, I did not get a burn. I saw Shawn there and waved, and thought I saw out of the corner of my eye Nicole T, who graduated two years ago. Ack, I'm tired.

071802
[6:35pm] Ah. Now that is what I call "rock." Calling Kris and getting it set up to go to the movies and set MIB 2. Then, suggesting it to Jake that he come as well. Then the idea of Rob coming pops up, and suddenly it's four! How tremendous. My friends are so good. I love them. I love you guys!
[10:34am] Yesterday I went over to Kelly's house to drop off a CD and the whole colorguard was there and it was so much fun. I sat by Lauren, who told me that she sometimes reads this and she called me hilarious! So, Lauren, if you're reading this.. Consider this a shoutout. Also, Anni P asked me on Monday if I got the job, so she is also a member of my loyal readership. Ahh. It makes me so happy.

071602
[3:23pm] Okay, so I applied to Bucheit and Blockbuster.. and I just brought the rest of the applications home. My head is swirling with Walgreens, Payless, Wehrenberg, Rockarolla Rena, Fashion Bug, Kmart (newly christened Kelly-Mart by guess who?).. ahhh!! Retail.. Glop. Anyway, I have a headache. It's about time for my daily chocolate&banana. And then I'll sit on the couch with my dog and read The Hacienda, which is a really good book. I recommend it if you want to read a story about a woman who comes to Venezuela weak.. and leaves.. yeah, I haven't finished it yet, so I don't know how she leaves, or if she even does leave. Whatever. Just go buy it.
[9:04am] Other news: I got the letter yesterday stating that I did not get the job at the library, so this afternoon, after I pick up my brother from drumline practice, I'll go job-hunting.
[9:02am] I'd just like to say that Alton was the most awesome thing that has happened to me, thus far in my life. I know it sounds nerdy, but it made me wish that marching band was right now. Also: it made me wish that I was good enough to march corps, but it sure made me thank God that I wasn't, because it's soooo hard!! Oh, to be a Cavalier though. Imagine the pride.

071502
[5:05pm] Okay, so I chickened and did not call the library, but I promise I will tomorrow. I promise. I have to. T minus 10 minutes until rockin awesome good time.
[12:44pm] Hello out there in TVland. Here's the deal: Kelly's parents were superbly nice enough to pick me up and take me to Rob's house when they take her over there. (I love you Rhonda and Tim, you are the best!!) And then Rob's dad is going to take us to Alton, which is an hour and a half away, so that we can see the Cavaliers, with our beloved Scott (yes, "the Scott") and Bravada Todd. You just know that I'm going to take about a zillion pictures. Well, maybe not that many, because I'm running short on cash and I don't know if I'll buy another camera or not. In other news: no calls from the library, and if they don't call by 3:00, I'm calling them. Sigh. I'm so tired of waiting.

071402
[8:25am] Sorry for the lack of updates, but nothing has happened. No calls from the library (except the three that I made last week), I got Rob (and therefore a few other boys) for the Match Game, and I might get to go to Alton for the DCI thing, provided I get the information in time. That's tomorrow. I wanna go so bad. I'll call Rob later and ask him about it.

071102
[10:54am] I'm trying to get a game of Match Game going for band camp. I've got a few takers already. I'll be the host, Kris and Kelly know how to play, Kelly has agreed to be on the panel. Jake has agreed to play, I don't know as what yet. Crystal would make a good judge. I could probably get Rob and Steve, Abby, Lauren, Shawn.. I have no problem with the number of players. It's keeping their answers appropriate and polite that is the problem. :)

070902
[1:30pm] And the same thing today. Plus all drumline practices cancelled for the week. PLUS: I just called the library and they said they're "still in the middle of the progress." Ahhhh!! *screams, tears hair out* Everyone has said, "I have a good feeling. I think you'll get it." I hope so. I really do. But I'm just telling myself that I don't have it and that way I won't be disappointed. And I'll just go apply at Glik's. Not barfness, but not great.

070802
[5:14pm] Well, that was a bust. Ty really didn't get that good of a drumline practice because people didn't come and there was no music. So I dropped him off at 8:00 and picked him up at 9:30. And then I dropped off a book at the library (still no call yet!! *dying, agony, perhaps they'll call tomorrow*) and returned Orange County to Blockbuster (Dad added me to his account, but I still have to pay the $3.99 per movie) (Kris was right, it wasn't that good) and then went to Walmart and got groceries. And I used 3 coupons that saved my family a grand total of $1.05! Wow! And just now I cut half the legs off some tattery old pants I had, and sewed them into cute gym capris! Wow! I'm just all about exclamation points today!
[7:21am] You may call me what you will (dork, nerd, etc) but I had trouble sleeping last night because I was excited that my brother gets to go to drumline practice today. I'm excited for him, and because I get to see all the people I have missed over the summer. Yes, this unofficially indicates the end of summer. Official for my brother, unofficial for me. BTW, I might find out about my job today. Or tomorrow. Ahhh!! July 26th is officially the end of summer for me. Go see why on the little calendar, if you wish.

070702
[9:15pm] Yesterday we went to the YMCA and I showed my mom and brother how to use the weight machines to do militaries, squats, benches, incline presses, bicep curls, and maybe a few other things that I have forgotten. Anyway, so I did a few of each and I feel like an old man today. I can hardly get up and down the stairs. I need a cane.

070502
[5:04pm] I went to the library for a while to study Chemistry. (I got a whole chapter done, except for the questions!) I love that place so much. It's cool and quiet in the summer, and warm and quiet in the winter. I really want that job. So bad.
[9:24pm] As I was saying.. and then, later, Kelly and Jake came to our seats to talk to me. Kelly and I went to get a hot dog, and then Jake left, saying "I'll be back".. and never came back. But that was to be expected. Kelly and I visited Jake's mom, to tell her that we were going to drive Kelly home. Jake was over there, and he and Colinonymous (his name is Colin, but I don't really know him, so half his name is -nonymous) were clapping on the off-beats of whatever cheer was happening. I said "Nice clapping" and they said "Nice hat." I had my Bud-visor on all loose and tumbly, and it was cool, so I threw a wrapper at them. Then we visited Abby and Ryan. Ryan had 2 extra tickets and he was going to call me and ask me if I wanted to go, but I was already there! Then we returned to our seats, and stood up for the last out. We won. We drove Kelly home. And that's that.
[9:16am] I went to the baseball game yesterday and I saw Honors Band and Honor Guard do their thing to the national anthem. It was nice and all, but the audience really messed it up with their stupid singing. The trumpets are there as accents, not as "rockets'-red-glare." But eventually, everyone caught up. Or I ignored them. I can't remember which.

070402
[9:47pm] Bump Bear, Larry, Blinking Dragon's Breath, What Dat Do?.. all my favorite things. Total Annihilation burned my thumb though.

070302
[9:24am] I didn't say I'd start right away on the to-do's, did I now? NO. And I'm not going to. Take a look at this. It's straight outta the Abercrombie & Fitch magalog (yes, I made that up, that and catazine) and I just think it's excellent that they would name an outfit after me and my best friend!
[8:57am] To-do list for the day: eat breakfast, get dressed, buy milk, call pedicure place to ask about sanitary hygiene practices (or stuff), and there's something else that I have forgotten, but I'll remember it later. And do it. And probably not tell you about it, because I'll forget then too. Oh! I went over to Kris's house yesterday and we watched bits of MTV, Ricki Lake ("stop stillin'! stop!"), Jeopardy (to which we knew none of the answers), and some Family Feud ("man, that old guy is gonna kick your butt, Richard, for kissing that poor Thelma lady, even if she did make you booties.") Quite interesting. And then I went home.

070202
[8:11pm] I think Randy Jackson is going to kick some of Simon Cowell's butt. American Idol, I can't help myself.
[9:22am] I was singing some Our Lady Peace lyrics to Kris and my brain went elsewhere. And she called me stupid so I'm calling her "Kristi".

Becky: K-k-kerouac.
Kristi: :)
Becky: Woah! That guy has every vowel possible in his name!
Becky: Kerouac.
Kristi: I?
Becky: Oh poop.
Kristi: lol
Becky: I was counting C as a vowel.
Kristi: AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA

070102
[8:03pm] Okay. An explanation for the layout. You may go.. eww.. what is this bar for, across that girl's eyes? I just kind of thought it looked cool there. There's nothing wrong with her eyes, indeed, here is the original picture to view. And as for my choice of the original picture, I just thought it looked kind of cool, too. I like how she's looking all elegant and put together, and then there are all these guys running around in biohazard suits, carrying trash and trying to feed her berries. I don't know about you, but I would not eat anything offered to me by someone wearing a biohazard suit.
[1:16pm] I am bored. As usual. I just finished, sort of, this layout. I still have to transfer folders and whatnot. And eat lunch. And do chores, gasp, cry. Cannot waste time posting.
